Do you listen to the mental chatter going on inside your head? Are there nay-sayers in your noggin who are bummin’ you out?
We call those little voices *mind gremlins* and we hate those little buggers! But we all have them to contend with, daily, so it’s important to learn some ways to quiet down those critical mamma-jammas and rev up the voice of the inner awesome inside you instead!
In today’s Maven Chat video we tackle just that, sharing a bit about automatic negative thoughts and 4 ways to battle those mind gremlins!
{ps: in the video we mention trying some guided meditations. Check out the one Jena recorded for you Mavens- you can get it free with sign-up to our inner circle. We also like these guided meditations by Davidji at the Chopra Center, and these by Tara Brach}
Have you done battle with your mind gremlins in any of these ways? What other tips work for you?
We’d love to hear about your experiences with your mind gremlins, Mavens! They’re beasts!

I recently got a tattoo reminder for just this reason! It’s on my left wrist and it reads “be quiet”. No kidding. A reminder to be quiet and enjoy the ride.
Oh wow, I like that Marisa! Good reminder to yourself- there’s so much to gain in those quiet moments. Thanks for sharing! -jena
Gah! Love you ladies and can’t wait for the course!
I didn’t get a chance to be part of truthy tuesday this week, but will next week! Or maybe I will write a back dated blog for truthy tuesday…
@Marisa, a reminder tattoo sounds like such a good idea… my mind monsters are pretty ruthless…
