Time to Perfom A Habit Autopsy?

Have you had a healthy habit die recently? We know all too well what that’s like and how hard it is to hop back on that habit wagon once you’ve fallen off.

The key, we think, is to dig in to be able to understand why you stopped the habit in the first place- was it only circumstance? timing? Or something a little deeper seeded into your motivation?

Today’s Maven Chat will help you perform a habit autopsy so you can figure out exactly how that healthy habit of yours died, so you can work on bringing it back to life!

What habit are you going to be looking into that you want to revive? Let us know in the comments, we’d love to hear your stories and help motivate you to get back on that habit wagon!

  1. How very timely! I was just thinking about this last night and started the ever-difficult climb back into the workout wagon this morning. I started running seriously over the summer and ran a half marathon in September but had only run once or twice since! I loved how running and working out made me feel, physically and mentally it just boosts all sorts of good feelings. Why wouldn’t I want to continue that? Well, it started off innocently enough, as falling out of the wagon usually does – I took some days off post-race to recuperate. Then I got sick. Then I got so overwhelmingly busy that I felt like working out would be a “Waste of Time” and that I could be doing more productive things.

Now, how on earth can I expect to be at my best and be giving my all if I don’t take care of myself?

I’m getting back into working out and running dammit. It’s happening. And it will be Glorious.

    • Yay! So awesome to hear, thanks for sharing! It is so much easier to fall off the wagon then get back on, huh? But it’s great you identified what you want and what happened so you can be more aware of it next time! Get those running shoes on, girl! Good luck with it!! :) jena
