Do you ever have that moment where you’re busy doing something in your life and you think, “I’ve got this”? It’s a pretty good feeling, but as much as we might be mastering areas of our life one week, the next week might feel totally out of whack, making us long for that feeling of balance and being on top of things again.
Or the reverse, maybe you consider yourself a writer, for instance, but you’re making no time for writing. You can’t be a painter unless you’re actively painting. Yes this is obvious, but it’s also true that we so often want things for our lives that we don’t make time for.
That’s pretty much how balance works, one week we’ve got it, the next week we realize we’re way off track. This is actually pretty normal in our culture, with the fast-paced world we live in and hyper-stimulation of technology all around us.
This is why everyone could use a little more self-care.
Even if you’re doing okay at it, there’s always room to increase your self-care, to re-shift your priorities, to become more dedicated in a healthy habit you’re trying to create. We personally feel like although we’re doing pretty well with our own self-care, we’re always looking to improve. It’s so easy to fall out of a self-care routine and so challenging to establish consistent habits.

All too often we wait until something is broken to fix it.
